  • The First State Food Molecular Microbiology Laboratory in the North Eastern Region
  • The Commissionerate of Food Safety, Meghalaya rank 2nd in the Food Safety index amongst smaller States during 2020-2021.
  • The State Food Testing Laboratory, Pasteur Hills, Meghalaya, Shillong has been Granted Accreditation in the field of biological Testing vide their letter No. NABL/t-6348 dated 6th October 2021.
  • The State Food Testing Laboratory, Pasteur Hills, Meghalaya, Shillong being the 1st (First) State Food Testing Laboratory in the entire Eastern region & North Eastern region to achieved ‘Accreditation’ from National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration in Biological discipline (NABL) received a ‘Republic Day Award’ on the 73rd Republic Day occasion of 50th Meghalaya Golden Jubilee Celebration, 2022.
  • The State Food Testing Laboratory, Pasteur Hills, Meghalaya, and Shillong have been selected as the ‘National Training Center in Biological field’ by the Regional Director of the Food Safety & Standard Authority of India, Kolkata.
